Melocco and Moore submits an entry for the Ideal House Competition

Australian House and Garden and Mirvac collaborated on a vision to create a landmark project home that “responded intelligently to the realities of modern life”. The Ideal House competition was an opportunity for the Architecture Community to showcase their creativity and respond to the challenge of bring well considered residential design to the masterplan market.

Our ideal home design distills all of the main building and design elements into a few simple forms, which when combined, appear strong and unified.

Consideration of solar access, cross ventilation, rain water re-use, ease of construction and opportunities for future extension all played a part in the design process.
